ABOUT DRIFT BENICIA
First opened on May 1st 2023, Drift Benicia is a place where everyone instantly feels at home. We open at 7:00am daily serving "Mr. Espresso Coffee" and a variety of pastries.
Starting at 11:00am, we offer our famous Focaccia-style sheet pizzas along with paired Beers and Wine.
The cafe is available for private parties and fun public events after hours. We are very active in the community and help local organizations and schools through fundraisers and donations.
ABOUT MONICA & RYAN
Couple, Monica Dito and Ryan Birch are co-owners of DRIFT BENICIA at 366 1st Street in Benicia. It was a dream that started during a time of unemployment during the pandemic. Monica first contacted the owner of the building in 2020 to inquire about a vacancy available to open a caffe. After exploring many options on First Street in Benicia, the couple decided to wait until this location, or something similar was available. In the meantime, the food truck MANGIA SQUARED was created. Not only did the couple introduce a unique type of pizza, but they built a positive reputation in the community.
When 366 1st street became available, there was no hesitation and the lease was signed immediately. February 15th, 2023 the couple moved into the space and started renovations. With the help of family and friends, the couple was able to do all the work themselves. May 1st we officially opened our doors!
